The beginning

OK today I am going to start my HCG diet journel. My husband and I actually started our HCG injections yesterday morning. I weighed in at 225.4 in the morning before eating anything. By bedtime I weighted 228.6 and was feeling twice that
size! My husband weighed in at 314 and this morning weighed 317.6. For breakfast we has chezy eggs and sausage
links with cinnnomin raisin english muffins and coffee with heavy creamer. We were on a road trip so eating was done on the fly but we managed to consume a box and a half of donuts, almost a whole box of chicken in a biscuit and half a can of squeeze cheese, 2 tubes of pringles, m&m, reeses pieces, lunch at taco bell.

By this time we both were wanting to fall into sugar coma and never look at another piece of food! We went to town
after we got home and did our shopping for our diet acceptable food, that was brutal! Believe it or not when we
were done I was now craving shrimp and steak so I popped a few strawberries and proceeded to clear out my cupboard
and fridge to make room for the food we bought. I know I should have thrown it away but anything that would not
spoil (seasonings,unopened dressings)I put in a box and put it on the top shelf of the pantry so i wouldnt
accidently grab something not allowed.

So today is actually gorge day 2 I cant imagine eating anything right now
but the rules say stuff fat more then carbs to lower the chances of diet headache.
For breakfast I ate french toast with peanutbutter and syrup and coffee with flavored creamer and a donut. We went
to work and fed the horses then went to town for a small supply of Fat!
I ate 2 double cheeseburgers, 5 chicken nuggets and frenchfries washed down with sugar sweetened iced tea.
Once home and chillin out on the couch watching movies I ate my twix and a small handful of little cheddar smokies
and Pizza rolls. I also had oreo cookies and milk, more reeses pieces, finished off the package of chicken in a
buscuit's with squeeze cheese. Last night before bed I weighted 229! If I wake up weighing the same i think i will
be upset LOL!
We also took our pictures so we can see ourselves and hope to see improvement over the next 2 weeks.

Ok today is our first 500 calorie day! Wish me luck and a busy day at work so I dont think
about food. I have the coffee yellin at me that it is done brewing so I am after that!YUUMM good coffee not as good
as yesterday but good all the same. At this moment in time I am not hungery but i do need to get moving! so thats
all for now!
Well today isnt so bad I only felt a little hungry around 5:30 It is 7 PM now and I just finished dinner. I have
gone to the bath room about a zillion times today! I dont know if it is the coffee or all the iced tea either way
I am not usually a big liquid drinker unless it is diet soda! So my hydration level is off the charts for me LOL.

6:30AM Breakfast of coffee, at 10:30AM I had an Orange, at 1:00PM I had cod with a tomato, 4:30PM I had a plum, at
6:45PM I had steak and half a red pepper.
I also had some of my free foods(half a cucumber,lettuce and a tiny bit of celery with walden farms ceaser dressing).

The scale says 4 pounds lost yippee! Actually today I almost couldnt finish my lunch and I didnt finish all my
dinner. I DO NOT FEEL HUNGRY for me that is unbelievable! you can always count on my when it comes to food LOL
I am craving a little sweets but that is because I see it and deny myself.
6:30AM coffee
10:30Am I ate my Apple dipped in some walden farms chocolate dip OMG I DIED AND GLIMPSED HEAVEN! A MUST HAVE ON
THIS DIET!
1:30PM I had lemon garlic chicken, on a spinach and romaine salad with greenpeppers, and cucumbers
3:30PM I had my orange
5:15PM melba snack crackers
5:50PM I had lemon garlic shrimp with asparagus no salad or free foods with dinner

Ok so today I totally cheated! I ate half and ounce more protein then allowed And 2 extra melba snack crackers!
Those 2 crackers added 25 extra calories and a piece of sugarfree gum. About 4:30 I got really tired and a little
shaky and stayed that way till I had dinner now I am just tired. I didnt drink my fluids like I should have either
I am worried about what the scale will say in the morning. I have been planting flowerbeds all day yeasterday and
today so my hands are SUPER dry and I did put lotion on. along with a little blistex on my lips
6:30 coffee
10:00 handful of strawberries
12:00 melba snack crackers
2:00 lunch oflemon grilled cod with broccoli
5:00 plum
7:30 dinner I had steak with pureed caluiflower seasoned with garlic, onion powder,creole seasoning, and a dash
of salt& pepper and half a tsp of better then boullion chicken broth.
8:30 2 extra melba snacks

I know the larger weight numbers are slowing down which is natural but still a little depressing for me. I keep
telling myself the protocal says about a pound a day. so I need to be happy with that. 30 pounds in 30 days is huge
for anyone. and i keep telling myself the reward is in 30 days not tomarrow. My husband says i have been a bit
crabby but maybe i have. I dont know maybe he is the one being overly sensitive too. i HAVENT BEEN DRINKING THE WATER i SHOULD HAVE. I also had A diet pop

POUNDS LOST 0.4 i THINK
TODAY I TRIED TO BE REALLY GOOD! TEMPTATION WAS ALMOST OVERWHEMLING! bUT mIKE AND I PULLED TOGETHER AND
MADE IT THROUGH WITHOUT REALLY CHEATING i DID HAVE A PIECE OF SUGAR FREE GUM. But i was good and drank
all 6 bottles of water and some coffee and now I am having iced tea. I have been using lotion cause my hands are
super dry with al the washing. but i think I was good for food today

6:30 dinner of mock egg rolls i had chicken and cabbage for the meal requirements it was super yummy!!

Today I didnt eat much as I was at a horsemanship clinic and I was focused on alot of other stuff besides being
hungry I had a few strawberrys for snack, a chicken salad with radishes for lunch and a fish fillet for dinner.
I didnt drink the recommended amount of water today either so I hope I see decent loss on the scale in the morning. I am not hungry. bt i do
occasionally get the overwhelming urge to just say what the heck and get a burger LOL But i have remained strong
and for the most part have followed the rules, Unless it was by mistake ( like the spinach thing)

Obviously the precooked store bought chicken is not the same as the chicken we cook our selves and it seems
crucial to drink the reccommended amount of water. So today I again had chicken salad as it is convient when away
from home but we used canned chicken breast packed in water and 97% fat free. I had a plum for snacl 1 and an
orange for my second snack. I think I did well I drank tons of water my only question is that I had drill tonight right after the clinic and
I didnt get to eat dinner till 9:30 so Lets hope the scale is kind to me in the morning but I feel fat tonight so
cross my fingers!!

I will be doing an apple day if I dont see decent results in the morning. To be honest I feel heavy and full. I cant imagine feeling like this right now that I will see anything in the morning.

Finally! gonna try cottage cheese for lunch today wish me luck!

I had my coffee, I had an orange for AM snack, half cup
cottage cheese, a tomato for lunch and my melba snacks. I wasnt hungry so I didnt eat my PM snack and when it came
time for dinner I had I had fish,no veggi and a cheat of 2 extra melba snacks,cucumbers were kinda a desert as I
wasnt really hungry but I was wanting something crunchy and salty (like chips LOL). I suppose reflecting back i
didnt drink enough water. I woke up with a UTI and took some antibiotics, and cyctex.
The cottage cheese was lowfat I dont even know it they make fat free cottage cheese. I also used salt more freely
today. I wish they would make a decent salt substitute.

I dont know where i went wrong! geez this is crappy. Ok so maybe I shouldnt have eaten 2 extra melba snacks and I
shouldnt have eaten cucumbers so close to bedtime. I suppose today I will be really good and hope for better
results tomarrow. Today's menu consists of an apple for AM snack and steak and onions for lunch, an orange for
pm snack,chicken&broccoli for dinner i guess.

ok well today I was going to do an apple day I got to about 4 pm and we headed out to go camping. I had packed all
the required food with all the intentions of following protocal and being good yadda yadda. Well TOTALLY FELL OFF
THE WAGON!NOt only that but pulled my hubby down with me! Actually went back to town for BAD food!! It just isnt
camping with out hotdogs and chips and BEER! I also just started my period a week early and the cravings were
just unbearable. So needless to say I am having to start kinda over I am not taking the shots right now anyway but
as of tomarrow I am back to being good! I got home this afternoon and jumped on the scale to see the damage and I
am now 4 pounds heavier then on friday. I hate to say it but I do not feel bad about it! Food has always made
feel happy the diet was getting hard for me. I was actually very depressed in a foul mood (PMS a week early!) well
anyway you live and learn and move on.

Ok I know I havent been keeping track of my food and such but with work being super busy and trying to get stuff at home ready for spring and summer I have just been swamped and always on the go. I have been intentional on the food I eat but i think i need to start paying closer attention from here on out.
Today we had beef taco in lettuce. I attempted to make apple cookies that was an epic fail LOL! for dinner I made beef veggi soup with tofu noodles(miracle noodles) I had a diet soda which I regretted opening in the first place but instead of doing the right thing and giving it to my daughter or just dumping it out I drank it even though it didnt taste good. that is a first.. i usually love diet coke!

I gained?! 1.4 damn where did I go wrong??
I know where i went wrong yesterday. It was the diet coke and i didnt eat any of my fruit snacks and the noodles i had in the soup didnt sit right for me either So I think i will not have beef soup again.Looking back I also had beef for lunch when I should have had chicken of in all honesty Fish as I have been avoiding fish lately it just dosent sound good at all lately.

half a grapefruit for morning snack
I had super yummy buffalo steak strips for lunch. Time got away from me and before I knew it it was time to go to drill. Well it is now 10Pm Mike made me some chicken and onions and that was super good althou I was hungry to the point I wasnt hungry anymore but I am grateful he brought me something. the cupcakes that were passed around drill we hard to resist but resist temptation I did! Hope the pounds from yesterday are gone in the morning!
I will sart a new post for tomarrow I think as this one is really long.

  1. You should be sooooo proud of yourself... They do make Fat Free Cottage Cheese... But from what I learned at the last clinic you should stay away from dairy and red meat as much as possible.... Looking thru your blog do you notice a pattern? Everytime you had red meat their was a gain or small loss. And the broths/beef soup are loaded with salt so that stumps you too! You are doing so well Kat! Keep it up! I know you can do anything you put your mind to! Keep telling yourself it is only 45 days. The more you cheat the longer it is going to take to get the lbs off! I had total mind blowing trouble getting under 200! It took me a week cause I would get to 201 and cheat for no good reason... Up to this point in our lives we have had a love affair with food but now it's time to break up with FOOD so we can get our lives back! I love you! Marsha
